Farmers Protest In Toulouse
Farmers from the FNSEA union are protesting in front of the water agency in Toulouse, France, on January 16, 2024. The FDSEA and JA unions have called their members to demonstrate in Toulouse, as well as in other parts of France, urging the government for assistance. They are bringing their tractors and blocking the streets as part of the protest. The farmers are protesting against the increase in water usage fees, taxes on biocides, and the implementation of the EGAlim law. They are demanding that the French government reduce bureaucracy. During the protest, farmers are pouring manure and waste at the entrance of the building housing several agriculture-related agencies, including Ademe, the Adour-Garonne water agency, and the OFB (French Office for Biodiversity).
