The Artigas Gardens, Gaudi little-known Park Guell
The bridge of arches, presided over by the caryatids of a man and a woman, in the Artigas Gardens in La Pobla de Lillet, Spain, on April 27, 2026. Designed by Antoni Gaudi between 1905 and 1906, these gardens feature many of Gaudi's signature symbols, such as plant motifs, grottoes, stone sculptures, and the symbols of the four Evangelists. The gardens remained largely unknown until Gaudi's authorship was confirmed in 1971. Now, coinciding with the Gaudi Year celebrations, they are a major tourist attraction in this small Catalan town.
