Chile: Ashes Scattered In The Pilmaiquén River
Dina Uribe is scattering the ashes of Mrs. Dina Uribe in the Pilmaiquen River in Osorno, Chile, on March 24, 2024. The river is where her husband Santiago's body was supposedly thrown after he disappeared during the early days of Augusto Pinochet's military dictatorship. Santiago Domingo Aguilar Duhau, who was the Governor of the Department of La Union until September 11, 1973, and a Communist Party militant, was Dina's husband. Dina Uribe also served as the first president of the Agrupacion de Familiares de Detenidos Desaparecidos de Osorno. (Photo by Fernando Lavoz/NurPhoto)
