Historic Heat Wave Day In Paris
Many Parisians and tourists came to bathe in the fountains of the Trocadero garden and cool the lawns, including a woman who hula hooped with a hoop on the edge of one of the basins, while Paris and France as a whole have been going through their second heat wave since the beginning of summer, this day of July 25, 2019 became historic by beating the heat record recorded in the capital in 1947 by the new temperature of 42.6°C. Faced with the stifling heat of the city, many Parisians and tourists refreshed themselves at the Trocadero fountain where they could swim and relax in the cool. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
