Chile: Ashes Scattered In The Pilmaiquén River
Dina Uribe's ashes are being scattered in the Pilmaiquen River in Osorno, Chile, on March 24, 2024, where it is believed that the body of her husband, Santiago, was thrown after he disappeared following his arrest during the early days of Augusto Pinochet's military dictatorship. Santiago Domingo Aguilar Duhau, who was the Governor of the Department of La Union until September 11, 1973, and a militant of the Communist Party, was Dina's husband. Dina is serving as the first president of the Agrupacion de Familiares de Detenidos Desaparecidos de Osorno. (Photo by Fernando Lavoz/NurPhoto)
